SEN's activities include:
- Public education and advocacy:
Celebration of commemorative events (Earth
Day, World Environment Day, World Wetland Day, World Rural
Women's Day, World Human Rights Day), Convening meetings,
carrying out campaigns, organizing training workshops, seminars
and conferences, drawing on benefit from documented projects
and on research.
- Research and Documentation:
Offer Research, documentation and training
for youths, women and groups, would be used to strengthen
environmental and sustainable development values, improve
government policies for social justice, supports information
base for government agencies and corporate bodies.
- Networking and Collaboration:
Networking and Collaboration with organizations
who share common goal and objectives as to achieve sustainable
development and poverty alleviation in the Niger Delta region
- Services: Skill Training:
Need to create critical mass of knowledge
and resources gained in various workshops and training to
other NGO's and CBO's are imperative; Creating massive awareness
on Environmental conservation, HIV/AIDS, Sustainable energy,
Adolescent reproductive health Training for Transformation
etc.
SEN's FUTURE ACTIVITIES?
With availability
of funds, SEN hopes to build on the success of its current projects
and programme as to meet the needs of its project targets while
also researching into other areas of development. |
