In order to actualize its vision and mission, SEN has some laid down objectives, which are:

• To empower the children and youths, women through intensive environmental education towards a sustainable interaction with the environment based on local needs and to be active agents of sustainable development.



• To support the development of a sustainable environment through programs that preserve, develop and manage our abundant human, natural and material resources.



• To improve the health of young people through programs that increase their Health knowledge, discourage risky behavior, address reproductive health and rights issues, increase utilization of the existing health services and advocate for the establishment of youth-friendly service.



• To foster development of sustainable energy as a strategy for poverty alleviation among the rural communities.



• To empower young people economically through programs that support vocation training, provide business education, and facilitate access to credit for self-employment ventures.



• To improve access to Information Technology of the rural dwellers especially the youths and women.



• To promote research and documentation on health, environment and sustainable development issues.



• To enhance communication and information sharing through SEN Knowledge and Learning Center to meet the needs of local development organization in area of health, environment and community development, sustainable energy, HIV/AIDS etc.



• Awaking Corporate Social Responsibility of the multi-national oil companies to the Niger Delta Communities.



• To promote networking and collaboration among the NGO's/CBO's , Corporate bodies, Government and Bilateral/Multilateral Organizations.



• To foster participatory community development and appropriate technology among the rural dwellers.



• To improve access to functional education especially for girl-child, women and other vulnerable children
