6. HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming
The scourge of HIV/AIDS hangs on Africa like a looming time bomb. AIDS threaten a whole generation. In some Africa countries, one in five have been affected. New drugs are mitigating the effects of AIDS in other regions of the world but in Africa, the situation is getting worse as crucial medicines remain far too expensive for poverty stricken suffers. The need to mainstream HIV/AIDS into the country's developmental plan becomes imperative, as the problem have become a development issue rather than a health issue.

SEN hope to create critical mass of information and knowledge about HIV/AIDS to the community people. SEN would focus on massive innovative and integrated strategies and approaches towards curbing the HIV/AIDS scourge especially in rural communities. We are particularly interested in empowering, the yout6hs and women to participate in improving reproductive health and their sustainable livelihood. Currently, SEN is integrating HIV/AIDS education and awareness into its School Conservation Club training programme for youths in the secondary school which are aimed at creating awareness at the early age of the youths on issues and problems associated with HIV/AIDS and the STI's .

Also, SEN is carrying out HIV/AIDS Awareness Project in the Niger Delta Communities through its Train-the-Trainer (TOT) outreach whereby community facilitators are trained who will in-turn train other community members as co-facilitators in carrying out the HIV/AIDS education and awareness in the various communities targeted in the Niger Delta region.
